I am a native Texan, spending most of my life in the Houston area. For my undergraduate education, I attended Texas A&M University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, with a concentration in Motor Behavior. From there, I went on to pursue my graduate education at The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Since graduating from PT school, I have invested countless hours into my professional development, obtaining several certifications, which include my distinction as a Certified Sports and Orthopedic Manual Therapist [CSOMT]; Running Rehabilitation Specialist [RRS]; Level 1 [Basic] and Level 2 [Advanced] Sports and Orthopedic Regenerative Dry Needling; and certifications in Basic/Performance based Rocktape techniques, just to name a few.
Through my experience in outpatient physical therapy and participation in the Institute for Athlete Regeneration [IAR], I have developed unparalleled skills in exercise prescription; manual therapy interventions; pain science; injury prevention; recovery; performance-based rehab; and movement analysis designed to optimize human function and athletic performance. My treatment philosophy is to always provide client-centered care, focus on improving biomechanical efficiency, and ultimately treat the root cause of musculoskeletal dysfunctions.
MOVEMENT MASTERY SOLUTIONS is a specialized performance physical therapy practice, in which clients are given unparalleled 1-on-1 care, and are treated as they should be, without the limitations of insurance reimbursement. At MOVEMENT MASTERY SOLUTIONS, our mission is to address the ROOT CAUSE of a biomechanical dysfunction, improve biomechanical efficiency, and prevent future risk of injury/re-injury. We provide a THOROUGH functional assessment/biomechanical analysis and develop an INDIVIDUALIZED treatment plan, in which we utilize specialized manual interventions, including: joint mobilization/manipulation; sports and orthopedic regenerative dry needling; systemic cupping; as well as other myofascial release techniques. We then follow-up with advances exercise prescriptions interventions to improve stabilization, neuromotor control, and optimize client outcomes. The focal point of our treatment philosophy is to improve biomechanical efficiency, or how the body moves together as a whole. When the body moves efficiently as a whole; there is less adverse stress, which in turn decreases pain and alleviates areas that are vulnerable to injury. Your mobility and function are worth the investment. Let us help you BUILD THE MOST EFFICIENT YOU!
This is the start of a UNIQUE and UNPARALLELED journey to BUILD THE MOST EFFICIENCT YOU. In this phase, we conduct a comprehensive movement assessment that's specific to YOUR level of function/activity level; we identify YOUR movement system impairments, determine the ROOT CAUSE of YOUR musculoskeletal dysfunction; and establish an INDIVIDUALIZED plan of care to address YOUR personal goals.
In this phase of your journey, our goal is to RESET your nervous system. We achieve this by using stimuli that sends positive/safe information to your brain, and subsequently helps to alleviate pain and improve biomechanical efficiency. Examples of aforementioned stimuli, include: joint mobilization/manipulation; regenerative dry needling; systemic cupping; and other myofascial release techniques.
This is the last, but arguably THE MOST IMPORTANT phase of your rehab journey. This is where we STABILIZE to “get everything to stick” and IMPROVE BIOMECHANICAL EFFICIENCY [improve how your body moves as a whole] to PREVENT FUTURE INJURY RECURRENCE. This phase involves education, progressive exercise prescription to specifically address YOUR needs/movement dysfunctions; and advanced neuromotor control training to optimize outcomes. It is common to overlap interventions from our RESET and REBUILD/RENEW phases throughout your plan of care.
